Union Berlin's interest in Dortmund fullback Tom Rothe has apparently led to a concrete agreement on a permanent sale. Germany's Kicker Magazine presently confirms a report originating in North-Rhine Westphalia's "Ruhr Nachrichten" newspaper earlier today. Rothe will move to the Köpenick quarter of Germany's capital for a transfer fee of €5 million. Dortmund have reportedly hedged their bets by securing a buyback option for their young talent.
It appeared as if - following a successful loan stint with Holstein Kiel last season - Dortmund wished to retain Rothe ahead of the new season.
