Brighton's Buonanotte snubs Schalke in favour of Elche switch
The Royal Blues were heavily linked with the 21-year-old who has seemingly agreed to join a team in Spain's first division.

FC Schalke 04 look extremely likely to miss out on the chance of bringing Facundo Buonanotte to Gelsenkirchen this summer.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the Brighton & Hove Albion prospect is on the verge of a move to FC Elche.
An agreement in principle has reportedly been reached between the Premier League side and the La Liga outfit from Spain's east coast.
Buonanotte is expected to join Elche on a one-year loan, however they have not been granted an option to buy the Argentinean.
According to the report, all verbal hurdles have already been overcome; the deal still needs to be finalized in writing.
After Schalke failed to secure the signing of Jesper Lindstrøm, another with Buonanotte also appears to have fallen through.
