Darmstadt confirm third summer signing

Relegated Bundesliga side SV Darmstadt 98 have confirmed their third new summer signing.

After striker Fynn Lakenmacher and attacking midfielder Luca Marseiler, SV Darmstadt 98 have now plied a third player from the 3. Liga on a free transfer for the coming 2. Bundesliga campaign. Hessen native Paul Will shall return to his home state from Dynamo Dresden. The 25-year-old midfielder is a product of the FC Bayern München campus. He's contested a total of 126 fixtures across all competitions for the Saxons since 2020. 

"We have emphasized that we value voracity and passion in this transfer window," newly-appointed sporting director Paul Fernie, "Paul fulfills both of these requirements and he has also impressed us with his high level of intelligence."In him, we are getting a team player who is passionate about football, works hard for the team, and should give us stability in defensive midfield."

"I've been impressed by how the club has gradually established itself in the second division and then even moved up to the Bundesliga," Will himself noted, "I also noticed the great solidarity between fans and team last season. I'm looking forward to the new task in Darmstadt, training camp with my new team, and especially the coming home games."
