Eric Dier has apparently convinced Bayern Munich that he deserves to have his expiring contract extended.

According to Bild's 'Bayern Insider' podcast, the Bundesliga giants are set to offer the 31-year-old a new one-year deal.

The former Tottenham man is expected to sign the contract in the near future.

Dier moved to Munich from London in January 2024 and has proved to be a valuable back-up in defence.

He has started the last four Bundesliga games for the Bavarians and should see plenty of game time in the coming weeks with Dayot Upamecano potentially out for the season.
