In this Fantasy Bundesliga article, we’ll highlight 10 players to consider adding to your team ahead of Matchday 24.
As a rule of thumb, we'll try to steer clear of the most obvious picks, instead focusing mainly on players who could offer great value as differentials.
Dimitrios Giannoulis, Augsburg (Defender, 5.51M, 2%)
After battling back from injury, Giannoulis returned to Augsburg’s starting XI against Wolfsburg last week and picked up a solid 227 points. The wing-back could be in line for another good return at home against a Köln side whose main strength isn’t in defense. However, it's worth noting that Augsburg’s schedule gets significantly tougher after this week.
Leopold Querfeld, Union Berlin (Defender, 8.61M, 12%)
Penalty duties always boost a player’s Fantasy appeal, especially for a defender like Querfeld. Add to that Union Berlin’s favourable fixtures against Gladbach and Werder, and he becomes an even more attractive option.
Vladimir Coufal, Hoffenheim (Defender, 11.42M, 28%)
Coufal and his teammate Ozan Kabak (8.1M, 9%) remain top options at the back, with Hoffenheim facing St. Pauli, Heidenheim and Wolfsburg in their next three games. The Czech full-back is in excellent form, having scored 492 and 279 points in his last two matches.
Nathaniel Brown, Eintracht Frankfurt (Defender, 13.77M, 17%)
Brown has delivered consitent returns for weeks and managed to pick up a decent 196 points last week despite the opponent being FC Bayern. With easier games against Freiburg, St. Pauli, Heidenheim, Mainz and Köln coming up, he has greatp otential in the weeks to come.
Grischa Prömel, Hoffenheim (Midfielder, 4.01M, 1%)
Arguably one of the best budget options in Fantasy right now, Prömel costs just 4 million, plays for an in-form Hoffenheim side with a strong schedule and can accumulate points in multiple ways.
Said El Mala, FC Köln (Midfielder, 5.43M, 7%)
After a dip in form, El Mala returned to the centre for Köln last week, racking up a goal an assist and 338 points. This bodes well for Friday’s clash against Augsburg.
Romano Schmid, Werder Bremen (Midfielder, 16.12M, 19%)
Desperate for a result in a relegation six-pointer against Heidenheim, Werder will be hopeful that midfield talisman Romano Schmid will step up. Even though he hasn’t been at his best lately, Schmid has recorded four 200+ returns in his last six games, with 154 points being the lowest in that stretch.
Alexis Claude-Maurice, Augsburg (Midfielder, 17.3M, 21%)
If you haven’t brought in Claude-Maurice yet, it’s not too late. He has scored 200+ points in eight of his last nine games and is heavily involved in Augsburg’s attack, mainly picking up points through dribbling, passing and shooting.
Ragnar Ache, FC Köln (Striker, 5.9M, 2%)
Ache continued his fine form with an impressive scissor-kick and 243 points against Hoffenheim last week. Heading into Friday’s clash with Augsburg, he looks like one of the best budget options up front.
Andrej Kramaric, Hoffenheim (Striker, 16.49M, 24%)
The Croatian striker is in top form and is in the middle of a very favourable run of fixtures. At less than half his price, Fisnik Asllani (7.72M, 8%) offers another attractive option in attack for Hoffenheim.
