Borussia Mönchengladbach have completed the signing of Jan Leszczyński from Polish capital club Legia Warszawa.

The 19-year-old centre-back has signed a contract until 2030 with Die Fohlen.

“Jan is a very talented centre-back with a really exciting blend of attributes and huge potential,” said Gladbach head of sport Rouven Schröder.

“He is strong in the challenge, good in the air, two-footed and comfortable playing out from the back. He is also very focused and ambitious, and is at the start of an exciting journey.”

Leszczyński, a Poland U19 international, said:

“I’m very grateful to be given the opportunity at Borussia to take the next step in my development. The club has a great history and is well known for helping young players progress. I’ll give everything to establish myself here and help the team achieve success.”
