With Jan-Moritz Lichte in on an interim basis, Borussia Mönchengladbach have begun their search for Eugen Polanski's replacement.
Both the Rheinische Post and Kicker believe a new head coach is expected to arrive no later than after next Saturday's clash with Mainz.
Meanwhile, the duo of news outlets understand that the Foals already have a clear plan for Lichte to return to his assistant coach role.
Among the list of possible successors to Polanski include Christian Eichner – formerly of Karlsruher SC – is being considered.
Ex-Leipzig coach Ole Werner and Horst Steffen who was last in charge of Werder Bremen are also being touted as options.
Former FC St.Pauli gaffer Alexander Blessin, as well as Bo Henriksen could also be contacted to see if they would be interested in the job.
