Gladbach newcomer sidelined for several weeks

Borussia Mönchengladbach have suffered a fresh injury setback, with new signing Nicolas Kühn set to be sidelined for a while.

According to Bild, the Como loanee has suffered a muscle fiber tear and is expected to be out for up to six weeks.

Kühn only recently made his debut for Die Fohlen, coming on in their disappointing 4-3 home defeat to Elversberg at the weekend.

Three other new Gladbach signings – Enzo Leopold (ACL tear), Yukhym Konoplia (partial medial ligament tear) and Daiki Hashioka (neck sprain) – are already sidelined.

The Bundesliga outfit also currently have to manage without Jens Castrop, who is recovering from shoulder surgery.
