Gladbach on the verge of signing Konoplya from Shakhtar Donetsk

The 26-year-old is set to join the Foals on a free transfer after his contract expired with the Ukrainian club.

According to Sky Germany's sources, Yukhym Konoplya is on the verge of completing his move to Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Transfer journalist Florian Plettenberg has confirmed this afternoon that a full agreement reached between both parties.

The Ukrainian international will undergo a medical examination which is expected to be completed today, Friday 22 May.

The 26-year-old right-back joins the Foals on a free transfer and will sign a contract that will run up until June of 2029.

Currently plying his trade with Shakhtar Donetsk, Konoplya has played 27 games in all competitions, providing 2 goals and 4 assists.

The Donetsk native was previously linked with Werder Bremen as recently as January, however a transfer to the Bundesliga never materialised.
