In his latest press conference for the English national team, Harry Kane revealed that Thomas Tuchel was an influential factor in his decision to join Bayern Munich.

“He was a big reason why I went to Bayern Munich in the first place. I know how good of a coach he is.

“He brings a lot of energy, enthusiasm and passion when he speaks. I had a really good season with him last season,” Kane explained.

As for the reason why the 31-year-old settled so quickly in Bavaria, he put it down to his personality and confidence in his talent.

“No matter the situation and no matter where I’m playing … I back myself to be able to help the team and score goals.

“I was proud of how I started last year in the Bundesliga. I didn’t know what to expect [when I arroved].

“But with the help of Thomas [Tuchel] and [Anthony] Barry, I settled in really quick and what I’ve been doing my whole career,” the striker added.

Tuchel, who managed Bayern Munich and Kane until his departure in May 2024, reacquaint again with the German currently installed as head coach of England.
