A summer transfer appears increasingly likely for Werder Bremen midfielder Jens Stage.

According to reports, the 29-year-old has already agreed personal terms with TSG Hoffenheim, but the Sinsheim-based club have yet to reach an agreement with Werder Bremen, who rejected an initial offer of a reported €9 million.

Speaking to Danish broadcaster TV 2, Stage confirmed his openness to a move this summer.

“There are a lot of rumours, and that’s fair enough,” Stage said, adding:

"To be completely honest, it has always been the plan for me that this transfer window would be an opportunity to look for a move that me and my family see as even more attractive than Werder Bremen. So I’m taking it all calmly."

Stage has played for Werder since 2022. He scored 10 goals in 29 appearances in the 2025/26 season, finishing as the club’s top scorer.
