Kicker Report: Wolfsburg among potential suitors for Chelsea's Broja

Germany's preeminent footballing publication claims that Albanian striker Armando Broja may be in for a reunion with former FC Southhampton coach Ralph Hasenhüttl at VfL Wolfsburg.

VfL Wolfsburg's search for upgrades at the center-forward position has produced many transfer rumors. German football journalist Thomas Hiete writes that  Norwegian international Jørgen Strand Larsen of Celta Vigo appears to constitute too expensive of an option. A potential alternative - per Hiete - is a striker Chelsea FC are eager to offload.

Albanian international Armando Broja once thrived under current VfL trainer Ralph Hasenhüttl whilst on loan at Southampton. The 22-year-old also has experience working under German trainers Thomas Tuchel at Stamford Bridge, as well as former Bochum gaffer Thomas Letsch whilst on loan at Vitesse Arnhem. Broja scored nine goals in 38 competitive appearances whilst working under Hasenhüttl.

Borja's latest loan stint with Fulham FC counted as something of a flop and the London-based side are reportedly looking to cash-in. Though Broja maintains an estimated market worth of €22 million in the latest transfermarkt listings, the Blues could be willing to let him go for less than that. Hiete does note that Germany's green company team do face stiff competition from other clubs.

Another potential target for Wolfsburg is Algerian striker Mohamed El Amine Amoura of Belgian outfit Union SG. The 24-year-old could be available for €18 million or less. Hiete writes that Wolfsburg are intensifying their efforts to potentially acquire the 24-year-old. Broja will receive a chance to showcase his skills as a set-piece-taker for the Albanian national team in the coming European championship.
