Leipzig on the verge of loaning central defender to RC Lens

Last campaign, Bitshiabu only managed 746 minutes of playing time and his development has since stalled in Germany therefore a loan makes sense.

According to Sky Germany, RB Leipzig are on the verge of loaning out El-Chadaille Bitshiabu before the transfer window closes.

Bitshiabu's move to RC Lens is said to be imminent, with negotiations between the clubs progressing rapidly and are "well advanced."

A purchase option is not expected to be part of the potential deal – the player's development is the primary focus for Leipzig.

Accordingly, the club from Saxony hasn't given up on the young defender in the long term and still believe in his potential.

This is likely the reason why Leipzig will continue to cover part of his salary as he plays a significant role for the Ligue 1 club.
