According to the Bosnian newspaper 'Sport Sport,' Haris Tabaković is high on the shortlist of French club LOSC Lille.
Sources at the outlet indicate that the Borussia Mönchengladbach striker, on loan from TSG Hoffenheim, could replace Olivier Giroud.
Giroud, now a 39-year-old in the twilight of his career, remains a doubt for the Ligue 1 club's plans given his uncertain future.
No decision has yet been announced as to whether Giroud will continue his journey with Lille or retire completely from the game.
Tabaković would at least fit Giroud's profile as a center forward who is capable of holding the ball up and an experienced replacement.
The 31-year-old has recently demonstrated his impressive goal-scoring prowess in Berlin, Hoffenheim and Mönchengladbach.
So far this campaign, the Bosnian marksman has found the back of the net 11 times for the Foals who are battling relegation.
Tabaković quite recently remained tight-lipped about his own future during an interview with popular tabloid BILD:
"No, there are no talks. And if there are no talks, I don't really need to worry. I still have a year left on my contract in Hoffenheim, he said.
