Hamburg recorded back-to-back goalless draws after their stalemate in the Stadtderby derby against St. Pauli. Merlin Polzin’s side had all the chances until the hosts started to gain momentum in the final 15 minutes.

“Getting a point away from home is fine,” said Luka Vušković in his post-match interview. The Tottenham Hotspur loanee had one of the better opportunities to score in a game of few chances.

“Nonetheless, we’re disappointed because we played a good game today over long periods and thus deserved three points,” added the Croat international after yet another solid performance at the heart of HSV’s defense.

“We had our chances. Unfortunately, we were unlucky even with my header. We take the point now, and prepare for the next game against Bayern Munich in the best possible way.”

Hamburg will face the league leaders with the hope of extending their unbeaten run at Volksparkstadion to six games.
