Report: Gladbach have potential Stindl replacement in mind
Germany's main sporting tabloid reports that Borussia Mönchengladbach are scouting a 22-year-old rising Swiss international as a potential replacement for captain Lars Stindl.
With it looking increasingly likely that squad captain Lars Stindl will depart Gladbach this summer, Roland Virkus and the BMG administrative team are reportedly eyeing a youngster with a similar skill set to that of their versatile skipper. Swiss attacking midfielder Mohammed Zeki Amdouni recently scored off the bench for his national side in a European qualifier. The 22-year-old may find his way into Murat Yakin's starting XI tomorrow night.
Amdouni presently serves on an extended loan at FC Basel. He isn't even due back at parent club FC Lausanne Sport until the end of next season. Arrangements could still be made for the versatile attacker capable of playing all of the flexible positions that Stindl usually does. Amdouni's current estimated market worth is at a career-get €2.5 million in the latest transfermarkt listings.
