Sky Report: Frimpong to Man United talks begin

Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg reports that initial talks between Manchester Untied and Bayer 04 Leverkusen have taken place for the summer purchase of Dutch fullback/winger Jeremie Frimpong. 
Leverkusen's versatile flanker Jeremie Frimpong has been linked with a move to Manchester United for several months. According to Florian Plettenberg of Sky's German outfit, the signing of Brazilian right-back Arthur has now rendered Simon Rolfes and the B04 administrative team ready to begin talking about a summer transfer. Initial talks have begun. A transfer fee in the neighborhood of €40 million is being discussed.

In the midst of a highly productive season fro Germany's red company team (eight goals and ten assists for Leverkusen across all competitions), the 22-year-old's estimated market worth has risen from €20 million in September to €35 million in the latest transfermarkt listings. The Westphalian German club purchased Frimpong for a reported €11 million from Celtic in the January 2021 transfer window.
