As so many times before this season, Maximilian Eggestein was a deciding factor for Werder Bremen on Saturday as he scored a great goal in his team's 2-2 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt.

'The Green-Whites' have expressed their desire to extend Eggestein's contract which runs out in 2020. And while the parties haven't come to an agreement yet, the midfielder says the chances that he'll stay 'aren't bad'.

"We'll all have to wait a bit longer. There have been no talks in the new year," Eggestein told Kicker and added:

"Bremen's chances aren't bad."

The 22-year-old has made 21 appearances this season with six goals and two assists to his name.
