Liverpool have dropped their pursuit of Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, according to Sky Germany.

According to reports, Liverpool previously held productive talks with Gravenberch's management.

However, it now seems clear that the midfielder will not be coming to Anfield.

There are two possible reasons for this: Firstly, Liverpool have already splashed out on Dominik Szoboszlai and Alexis Mac Allister. Secondly, Gravenberch himself recently stated that he would prefer to stay and fight for his place at Bayern.

Gravenberch made 33 appearances in his first season with the Bavarians after joining from Ajax last summer.
