Augsburg boss confirms interest in Richter

Augsburg are interested in bringing back Marco Richter, club boss Stefan Reuter has revealed.
Stefan Reuter has revealed that Augsburg have inquired about Hertha BSC forward Marco Richter.

Richter came through the youth ranks at Augsburg before joining Hertha in 2021.

Now, following Hertha's relegation to the 2. Bundesliga, Augsburg are exploring the possibility of bringing him back, as confirmed by their managing director for sport, Stefan Reuter.

"We have inquired because Marco enjoys a high reputation with us," Reuter told Augsburger Allgemeine.

Whether a transfer is possible, however, is questionable, especially from a financial perspective.

Richter scored six goals and provided five assists in 29 Bundesliga games for Hertha last season.
