Tuchel gives Sane update ahead of Lazio clash

Leroy Sane is expected to be fit for Bayern's clash with Lazio, Thomas Tuchel revealed on Monday.
Bayern Munich are likely to be boosted by the return of Leroy Sané for their Champions League last-16 second leg clash with Lazio on Tuesday night.

Sane missed Friday's 2-2 draw with Freiburg due to a patellar tendon problem, but is expected to be available for Tuesday's game after returning to full training on Sunday.

"He's not been able to play without pain for a while. He can hopefully train fully today. He trained fully yesterday," said Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel at a press conference on Monday.

"He has a pain threshold he can tolerate. As things stand, he'll be in the squad and can play."

Meanwhile, Alphonso Davies could make his first start since returning from an internal ligament strain.

"Alphonso is definitely an option. He could probably play 90 minutes," said Tuchel.
