The Green-Whites to suffered their second straight Bundesliga defeat as they lost 4-1 to Fortuna Düsseldorf on Matchday 31, and Klaassen is fired up to bounce back against a Borussia Dortmund team that will be without the suspended Marco Reus.
"The game against Dortmund will be tough, but we're all really up for it. We want to win," Klaassen told reporters at a press conference today, as quoted by the club.
"Dortmund will be missing a key player in Marco Reus on Saturday, but they have plenty of other good players. It doesn't matter who plays on Saturday. In the Bundesliga, you never know what will happen. You saw this on Saturday," he said.
With three tough games against Dortmund, Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig left to play this season, Werder are sitting ninth - five points behind the sixth place that would grant them access to the Europa League. Despite the difficult situation, Klaassen still believes that qualification for Europe is possible for his team.
"We're not looking at the Bundesliga table every week. We have three tricky, but exciting matches remaining. Of course we have to win to achieve our season target, but nothing has changed compared with three or four weeks ago," he underlined.
