BVB boss exclaims argument over penalty duties "wasn't an issue after the game"

Controversy ensued late on in Dortmund's 4-4 draw with Juventus as Ramy Bensebaini and Serhou Guirassy seemed to argue over who would take their side's 86th-minute penalty.

After a debate, Bensebaini converted which seemed to signal Guirassy had been demoted from spot-kick duties. Sporting director Sebastian Kehl touched on the flashpoint afterwards.

“It was clear that Ramy [Bensebaini] would take the penalty – and he converted it with ice-cold precision. It goes without saying that Serhou [Guirassy] also wants to score as a striker.

"It's the Champions League, and he's a very ambitious player. Serhou played a key role in our success in the Champions League last year with an incredible number of goals.

“Ultimately, the shot ended up in the net and that was the decisive factor. It wasn't an issue after the game either, so that's the end of the matter,” Kehl explained.

BVB's typically clinical Guinean striker was, perhaps, being taught a lesson after his spot-kick miss against St.Pauli back on Bundesliga Matchday 1 at the Millerntor-Stadion.
