Confirmed lineups: Eintracht Frankfurt vs. Galatasaray SK

Eintracht Frankfurt host Turkish side Galatasaray SK at Deutsche Bank Park in the first match of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League this evening (21:00 CET).

Dino Toppmöller's side finished third in the league last season and are already 2-0-1 in the current Bundesliga campaign, with victories against SV Werder Bremen (4-1) and TSG 1899 Hoffenheim (3-1) as well as a defeat to Bayer 04 Leverkusen (1-3).

They face Okan Buruk's three-time reigning Turkish champions, who are 5-0-0 in the new Süper Lig season. Galatasaray have conceded only once, against Çaykur Rizespor (3-1); the other results for the İstanbul side were all clean sheets (3-0 v. Gaziantep, 3-0 v. Fatih Karagümrük, 4-0 v. Kayserispor, 2-0 v. Eyüpspor).

It should be added that Galatasaray are bringing two former Bundesliga players into their attacking midfield for this match, these being Leroy Sané, formerly of FC Bayern München, and İlkay Gündoğan, formerly of 1. FC Nürnberg and Borussia Dortmund. Both were acquired in the summer transfer window.
