Manuel Neuer rules out German national team return

Now, however, 39-year-old Neuer has effectively shut down any speculation about an international comeback.
“First of all, I wasn’t even asked,” Neuer told reporters on Wednesday, describing his decision to step back from international duty as a “conscious” one.
“It’s therefore not even on the table for me. I’m focusing on my club, Bayern Munich – we have plenty to achieve there," added the veteran goalkeeper.
“Right now, I’m not thinking at all about whether or how Manuel Neuer could return to the national team.”
Neuer announced his international retirement after Euro 2024.
