Alexander Isak will leave Borussia Dortmund to join Real Sociedad, the two clubs have confirmed.

The striker has signed a contract until 2024 with the Spanish club who will pay a reported transfer fee of around €6.5 million for him.

"We wish Alex Isak the greatest possible success in Spain and will closely monitor his performances," said BVB sporting director Michael Zorc, as quoted by Borussia Dortmund.

Isak, who spent the second half of the 2018/19 season on loan at Willem II in the Netherlands, scored one goal in 13 appearances for Borussia Dortmund.

BVB paid €8.6 million to sign him from Swedish side AIK in 2017.
