Bayer Leverkusen have agreed personal terms with Hoffenheim's Nadiem Amiri, Bild understands.

However, the two clubs are yet to agree on a transfer fee and are understood to be relatively far apart in their valuation of the 22-year-old.

Bayer Leverkusen are hoping to pay less than €10 million for Amiri while Hoffenheim want 'Die Werkself' to match the midfielder's release clause of €14 million.

If it turns out that it won't be possible to reach an agreement, Leverkusen plan to sign Amiri on a free transfer in 2020 when his contract expires.

Amiri scored three goals and made three assists in 15 appearances for Hoffenheim last season.
