"I questioned myself during what was a difficult phase, but also doubted whether Leipzig was still the right place for me. My dad and I were wondering where I could go and what options were possible," Diego Demme admits in an interview with Sport Bild.
The trio weren't happy with their playing time under Ralf Rangnick last season, but were convinced to stay by the RB Leipzig bosses and have all played regularly since Julian Nagelsmann took over the job as coach in the summer.
"During the talks, I was quickly convinced to continue at RB. [RB Leipzig sporting director Markus Krösche] told me that they were counting on me. Now, I'm glad that I've played so many games," Diego Demme said.
This season, Demme has made 17 appearances for RB Leipzig, Laimer has played 16 games while Mukiele has featured 14 times.
