Favre's troops are winless in three games following Wednesday's 3-1 loss to FC Barcelona at Camp Nou in the Champions League.
Speaking after the game, the BVB coach told UEFA.com:
"It's difficult to play here, they have many players who can make the difference. It's a very tricky phase for us at the moment, but I am convinced we can manage to turn things around."
Favre decided to put Jadon Sancho on the bench in Barcelona, telling reporters before the game that BVB "need players on the pitch who are focused and ready".
The 19-year-old was sent on at half time and looked sharp, scoring Dortmund's only goal of the game with a wonderful shot.
When asked about Sancho after the final whistle, Favre didn't want to elaborate on his decision to bench the winger.
"We made the decision to bench Sancho and I have already talked about it. The last 20 minutes were really good, we scored and could have scored when it was 2-0. We then are in a one-on-one situation in defence, and that's tough when you are up against Suárez and Messi," he said.
Dortmund will be looking to return to winning ways when they face Hertha BSC in Berlin in the Bundesliga on Saturday.
