The tall striker, who has scored nine goals in 19 appearances this season, has reportedly attracted interest from FC Zenit and Valencia, but is said to prefer a move to the English Premier League.
Andersson, 28, is unlikely to leave Union this month, with a summer move seeming more likely - especially if he will be able to leave the club for free.
Union Berlin currently sit 12th in the Bundesliga, three points above the relegation play-off place. Should the German capital club stay in the Bundesliga, Andersson's contract will be extended by a further year, as per the report from Kicker.
