Robin Knoche is pondering over his future at VfL Wolfsburg after being offered a contract extension, according to Kicker.

The 27-year-old has spent his entire career at Wolfsburg so far and will now have to decide whether he wants to seek a new challenge or stay at Volkswagen Arena beyond the summer when his current deal is due to expire.

"Please understand that I will not comment on my future right now. I think everyone knows how I feel about the club. I don't need to say a word about anything else," Knoche told Kicker.

Knoche has struggled to nail down a regular starting berth since Oliver Glasner took over as Wolfsburg coach last summer. After starting on the bench three times in a row, the centre-back was back in the line-up for last week's 1-2 loss to Hertha BSC.

The 27-year-old has made a total of 214 appearances for 'Die Wölfe', racking up 13 goals and five assists.
