Dani Olmo has confirmed he attracted interest from Bayer Leverkusen, Borussia Mönchengladbach and FC Barcelona before deciding to come to RB Leipzig this month.

"Yes, that's all true. I wanted to take the next step now. After my talks with Markus Krösche and Julian Nagelsmann, I knew that RB are the right club for me," Olmo told Sport Bild and continued:

"I was convinced by the club's philosophy, especially the fact that Leipzig focus a lot on young players. Additionally, the way the coach wants to play football suits me very well. These are similar reasons why I went to Zagreb four years ago, although many found it unusual."

Olmo, 21, left FC Barcelona's youth academy to join Dinamo Zagreb in 2014. He went on to play 124 games for the Croatian champions, racking up 34 goals and 28 assists.
