Report: Javi Martinez transfer finalized for €10 million

A reliable German footballing news source reports that, days after the Thiago Alcantara netted Bayern München €30 million, an additional €10 million will come from Javi Martinez's move back to Athletic Club.
Germany's Bild Zeitung reports that Bayern have finalized the ongoing transfer negotiations to send Javi Martinez back to Athletic Club. The 32-year-old will return to the Spanish club he starred for between 2006 and 2012.

Martinez joined the German giants for a €40 million transfer fee eight years ago. The German newspaper lists return transfer sum at €10 million. Martinez will sign a two-year-deal with his old club.

It had long been common knowledge that Martinez, who was in the final year of his contract, wished to leave the FCB. Bayern boss Karl Heinz-Rummenigge confirmed that the Spanish international actively sought a transfer at the beginning of August.

The one-time record German transfer leaves Germany having made 238 appearances for Bayern across all competitions in eight seasons. He tallied 13 times and recorded 18 assists.
