Joachim Löw: 'We had no chance'

Germany coach Joachim Löw admits his team had 'no chance' in Tuesday's disappointing 6-0 defeat against Spain.
Germany suffered their worst competitive defeat ever on Tuesday, losing 6-0 to Spain in the UEFA Nations League.

Speaking after the game, Germany coach Joachim Löw admitted that 'nothing worked out' for his team.

"In the second half, we tried to play man against man, to press them, to score and get back into the game. But the Spanish were playing better, being faster and more precise. We had no chance. We said that we trust the players we have called up and were on a good path. We saw today that we are not as far ahead in our development was we have thought and hoped after recent games."

"It was a really bad day for us. Nothing worked out. No body language, no body strength. We wanted to play brave, wanted to attack. Neither attack nor defence worked well for us. After conceding the first goal we gave up our ideas and concepts, ran around aimlessly, had no organisation and left open spaces. That was deadly tonight."
