Confirmed: Klaas Jan Huntelaar sidelined until March
FC Schalke 04 have officially confirmed that striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar will not be available for the next two fixtures.
Schalke's "Hunter" will not have the opportunity to log his 11th minute back in a Königsblauen kit until early March. The January acquisition's ill-defined calf and muscular problems have kept him out of action since a brief relief appearance in the round 19 draw with Bremen.
The club's official website announced that the 37-year-old will undergo "individualised rehabilitation" after suffering a muscle tear. His earliest potential availability will not come until the round 24 fixture against Mainz on March 5th.
