Stefan Posch confirmed as Hoffenheim's 11th positive corona-test of the season
Germany's Kraichgauer confirmed that yet another one of their players had tested positive for the novel coronavirus on Thursday.
Already beset by a long list of injuries, TSG Hoffenheim must now fear a repeat of last November's team corona outbreak that sent the entire organisation into quarantine three months ago. The club announced on Thursday that defender Stefan Posch recently tested positive for COVID and had entered quarantine.
No other German club has found itself so persistently snake-bit when it comes to injuries as the Sinsheimers. Additionally, the squad has racked up more corona-infections than any other top-tier Bundesliga side.
Andrej Kramaric and Kasim Adams contracted the virus on international duty last autumn. Robert Skov, Jacob Bruun Larsen, Munus Dabbur, Sebastian Rudy, Kevin Vogt, Kevin Vogt, Ishak Belfodil, and Sargis Adamyan also traversed bouts with COVID this year.
Taken together, the Badeners could now field an entire starting XI of players who have had brushes with the pandemic. Posch's absence will force trainer Sebastian Hoeneß into some creative defensive tinkering ahead of today's fixture against Norwegian opponents Molde FK.
The club reported that there were no additional cases found in a full round of subsequent testing. Posch is said to be doing well, asymptomatic thus far in domestic quarantine.
