Aymen Barkok speaks out on future amid Sevilla links
Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder Aymen Barkok has spoken out on his future amid reports linking him with Sevilla.
Aymen Barkok says he could imagine extending his contract with Eintracht Frankfurt, which expires in 2022.
"I'm very open. I feel comfortable playing in my hometown. Eintracht Frankfurt is my first point of contact," the 22-year-old told Bild.
When asked about speculation linking him with a switch to Sevilla, Barkok responded:
"Of course it's an honor. Sevilla won the Europa League three three times in a row and is a big destination.
"But I'm not concerned about it. I want to play freely. If you only focus on rumors, you might lose focus on playing football. I'm not the kind of person to do that. My agent takes care of those kind of things."
The attacking midfielder has made 22 appearances this season with two goals and three assists to his name.
