SC Freiburg are not planning to turn Florian Müller's loan deal into a permanent one, according to Kicker.

The 23-year-old goalkeeper joined Freiburg on a season-long loan deal from Mainz at the beginning of the season after Mark Flekken sustained a serious elbow injury.

Since then, Müller has gone on to play every Bundesliga game for Freiburg this season, but with Flekken finally nearing full fitness, the club don't want to sign the Mainz loanee on a permanent basis, per the report.

Müller's contract with Mainz expires in 2022.
