Bayern Munich's catch-22: Real Madrid's Zidane to replace Juventus-bound Flick?

Reports are now circulating within German media outlets of Bayern Munich and Hansi Flick's respective futures.
Bayern are in the midst of a summer transfer upheaval as several top names depart from the club at the end of the season – including manager Hansi Flick, whose ‘one-sided communication’ rather left the club’s hierarchy unimpressed.

David Alaba and Jerome Boateng will also be moving away from the Allianz Arena, with the former closing in on a move to Real Madrid.

The list of Flick’s possible replacements have been actively circulating around the German media, with RB Leipzig’s Julian Nagelsmann reportedly the major candidate to take over. The 33-year-old has denied the reports.

Now, Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is being listed as a realistic candidate – it will be the Frenchman’s second departure from the Spanish capital in the space of 3 years in case a move materializes.

However, Zidane is also being listed on Juventus’ radar alongside none other than Hansi Flick. The current Bayern boss has not ruled out another coaching job, with growing speculation of him taking over as Germany’s head coach, replacing Joachim Low.

Sources from Italy and Germany (Sport BILD) cite Juve’s reluctant stance on extending Andrea Pirlo’s tenure at the helm in Turin.

It remains to be seen how things play out as the season approaches its climax.
