Fantasy Bundesliga: 10 players to consider for Matchday 2

Here are 10 players you should consider bringing into your Fantasy Bundesliga team for Matchday 2.
In this Fantasy Bundesliga article, we will not be focusing on the most obvious picks such as Erling Haaland and Robert Lewandowski.

Instead, we will highlight players with a maximum ownership percentage of 15%, who could offer great value as differentials for Matchday 2.

Josip Stanisic, FC Bayern (Defender, 3.2M)
Stanisic has impressed on the right side of defence in Bayern's first two games of the season against Gladbach and Borussia Dortmund. With Benjamin Pavard out until after September's international break, it's hard to look past the 21-year-old, who is available for just 3.2 million.

Jacob Laursen, Bielefeld (Defender, 4.1M)
Priced at a measly 4.1 million, the Danish left-back is another decent bargain option for Matchday 2 as Arminia Bielefeld face Greuther Fürth, who fell to a 5-1 defeat at the hands of Stuttgart in their Bundesliga opener.

Moussa Niakhaté, Mainz (Defender, 7.3M)
After their sensational 1-0 victory over RB Leipzig on Matchday 1, Mainz look like an attractive team to invest in as they will be facing newly-promoted Bochum and Greuther Fürth before September's international break. With 13 points to his name, Niakhaté was one of the highest-scoring defenders on Matchday 1, scoring and helping 'Die Nullfünfer' to a clean sheet. Besides being a threat from corners and free-kicks, the 25-year-old is likely to take the penalties if Daniel Brosinski isn't playing.

Paul Nebel, Mainz (Midfielder, 1.1M)
Nebel was handed his first senior start against RB Leipzig last week, with Mainz having to cope without 11 players for COVID-19 reasons. After making a positive impression, the 18-year-old looks in line to start once more.

Jae-sung Lee, Mainz (Midfielder, 6M)
The 29-year-old started up top and came close to scoring in his Bundesliga debut as he hit the bar within the opening minutes of Mainz's 1-0 win over RB Leipzig. With a price of just 6 million, he could be a great differential until the international break.

Masaya Okugawa, Bielefeld (Midfielder, 6M)
Okugawa did a lot of things right against Freiburg, but lacked ruthlessness in front of goal. He still managed to pick up nine points, though, and could deliver an even better return against Bundesliga newcomers Greuther Fürth.

Giovanni Reyna, Dortmund (Midfielder, 12.2M)
Despite being just 18 years old, Reyna has been an integral part of Borussia Dortmund's first-team squad for a while, and he could get to play an even bigger role under new coach Marco Rose. The U.S. international has featured in each of Dortmund's three games this season and grabbed his first goal of the season in his side's 5-2 rout of Frankfurt last week.

Lars Stindl, Gladbach (Midfielder, 13.2M)
Stindl managed to win nine points against Bayern München on Matchday 1, which is not bad considering the tough match-up. The 32-year-old has proved in the past that he is reliable and was the sixth-highest scoring midfielder last season with 264 points to his name.

Rafael Borre, Frankfurt (Striker, 7.1M)
Eintracht's new striker showed his ability to get into the right positions against Borussia Dortmund, but failed to get on the scoresheet. Despite Borré and Frankfurt's disappointing 5-2 defeat on Matchday 1, the 25-year-old is an option worth considering as 'Die Adler' prepare to take on Augsburg, who suffered a 0-4 defeat to Hoffenheim in their opener.

Marco Reus, Dortmund (Striker, 13.4M)
The BVB captain has had an excellent start to the season, scoring two goals and providing two assists in his first three games. From a Fantasy perspective, it's a shame that the Reus is not listed as a midfielder, but he still offers plenty of value. If you're looking for a cheaper option from Dortmund, you could take a punt on Youssoufa Moukoko (8M), who might start again after he was a surprise inclusion in Marco Rose's starting eleven for Tuesday's Super Cup game against Bayern.
