Europa League draw: Hoffenheim and Leverkusen discover league phase opponents

On Friday, TSG Hoffenheim and Bayer Leverkusen found out which teams they will face in the league phase of the Europa League this season. Last season’s fifth-placed team Hoffenheim were in Pot 4, while the 2023/24 finalists were drawn out of Pot 1.

Carles Martínez’s side will face Ligue 1 sides Marseille and Lyon from the top ranks, while home games against RB Salzburg and Beşiktaş are also standout fixtures. Hoffenheim will also face Lyon and Beşiktaş, in addition to tricky trips to Olympiacos, Anderlecht and Conference League champions Crystal Palace.
