In his first competitive win since returning to Eintracht Frankfurt, Adi Hütter was more than happy with his side's 11-0 win over SC St.Tönis in the DFB-Pokal earlier this evening.

“Regardless of the result, I want to compliment SC St. Tönis on a very courageous performance," Hütter said of their fifth-tier opponents in his post-match press conference.

"They wanted to compete right from the off. By scoring twice from set plays, my players swung the game in exactly the direction I expected them to. The win was thoroughly deserved.

“I’m pleased we’ve reached the next round in such comfortable fashion. Next weekend we’re at Union Berlin, where a completely different contest awaits us,” he added.

Bowled over by the atmosphere which he described as “fantastic” at full-time, Ansgar Knauff was equally satisfied with the win but stated attention now turns to the Bundesliga.

“It’s great that so many of our fans were there, and with a tifo to boot. We played well and did what we had to do. We have a tough away game next weekend at Union Berlin," he said.
