Borussia Mönchengladbach talent Wael Mohya is set to switch international allegiance, according to sources at Sport BILD.

It's believed the versatile attacker will make the jump to Morocco and represent the North African nation at senior level.

Very concrete talks involving the 17-year-old and the Moroccan federation have already taken place in recent days.

Mohya, born and raised in the Bundesrepublik, played for Germany's youth teams from the U-16 grade right up to U-18 level.

The Gladbach prodigy qualifies for the Atlas Lions through his parents who both hold Moroccan citizenship.

In July of last year, current Gladbach scout Roland Virkus underlined just how talented Moyha was at the time:

“You always have to be careful not to praise someone too highly too soon. But Wael is incredibly mature for his age.

"He makes smart decisions on the pitch, and always has the next move in mind. He's also extremely eager to learn.

"He always seeks advice from the older players, and always wants to improve. A truly exciting young man!”
