It was a good day for the Werder Bremen frontline on Saturday afternoon as they scored three on a talented RB Leipzig side. The goals were enough to clinch a big win for the Green-Whites.
Two returning Bremen boys made it onto the scoresheet, with Eren Dinkçi opening the scoring before Niclas Füllkrug got a goal himself later on. Marco Grüll made it three before the day was done.
After the game, Füllkrug was quick to highlight Dinkci and his teammates.
“I think it’s the perfect start for both of us, and for us as a team it was great for us to have three different goalscorers," he said.
“For Eren (Dinkci) it was a good first start, and straight away to get a good feeling, it's always good as a striker if you score your first goal very early. It feels like you break something, and you can start to flow. That's why I feel really positive for him.
"He had a good game. He could run a lot, but also Marco Grull was insane today, and everyone was top.”
