TSG Hoffenheim have officially confirmed the signing of Patrick Wimmer who has joined the club from VfL Wolfsburg.

The 25-year-old, who will be representing Austria at the World Cup in the coming weeks, has signed a long-term contract in Kraichgau.

Wimmer thus provides head coach Christian Ilzer with another strong and versatile option for his attacking play in the 2026-27 season.

“Patrick’s profile makes him versatile in attack, and he has already proven his qualities in the Bundesliga," said TSG sporting director Paul Pajduch.

“His intense playing style and tackling ability make him an excellent fit for our style of play here at TSG Hoffenheim.

"After VfL Wolfsburg’s relegation, Patrick received numerous offers from both domestic and international clubs.

"We are therefore all the more delighted that we were able to bring him on board for our TSG journey.

"We are convinced that he will not only strengthen our team but will also be able to take further steps in his own development.”
