England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford believes teammate Harry Kane's chances of winning the Ballon d'Or are currently in a good place.
“I think he is right in the mix for it," the 32-year-old shot-stopper said during England's press conference prior to facing Croatia.
"His standards and the goals he has scored are second to none, his all-round character as a lad is a great example to anyone in football.
"To set the standards he does, that's why he gets the rewards. I'd love nothing more to see him lift the Ballon d'Or.
"I think it would be a credit to him and his family and all the work they have done. It will be great for Harry if he gets it.
“It could be a great couple of months for the skipper and it's fully deserved. Hard work pays off, that's the message,” Pickford added.
The Everton goalkeeper is more than familiar with Kane's abilities having played over 82 games together for the Three Lions since 2018.
