Born in Dresden, Germany, Ryan Naderi is on the verge of being called up to the Czech national team, according to Kicker.

Having obtained the relevant citizenship, the 23-year-old Rangers FC forward is eligible to be called up for the Czech Republic’s upcoming UEFA Nations League matches.

In addition to Germany, Naderi is also eligible to represent Bulgaria, but he apparently rejected an approach from the Bulgarian football association around six months ago.

Naderi joined Rangers from Hansa Rostock during last winter’s transfer window for a third-division record fee of €5.5 million.

Since then, he has scored three goals and provided three assists in 10 games for the Scottish side.
