After conceding five goals in two Champions League matches in a row, Eintracht Frankfurt fought hard to earn a clean sheet and a 0-0 draw against Napoli on Tuesday.

Speaking to UEFA after the game, Eintracht coach Dino Toppmöller expressed his satisfaction with the result.

“We are one of the youngest teams in this competition, and we played the Italian champions. So the result is good. The players had a very good game, they played passionately, defensively, tactically. This was the key for this result,” Topmöller said, adding:

“We knew Napoli had good players on the wings, and that they are very attacking. Tactically it was clear, but the players have to take it to the pitch. Bring it to life. It's also about the passion.”

Napoli coach Antonio Conte, meanwhile, was left frustrated by his side's missed chances.

“We controlled the game, had many chances, but we have to score. Had we scored, people would have said we had a great game. We created opportunities but we weren't clinical. We need to take the Champions League step by step. We want to qualify," he said.

The draw leaves Eintracht with four points from four games in the Champions League.
