When Victor Boniface underwent knee surgery in January, he was expected to miss the remainder of the season.

However, according to Bild, the Nigerian forward could make a surprising return before the end of the 2025/26 campaign.

Currently on loan at Werder Bremen from Bayer Leverkusen until the summer, Boniface is set to resume individual training in the near future.

If his recovery continues to progress as planned, he could soon rejoin team training and potentially return to action before the end of April.

Boniface made 11 appearances for Werder without scoring prior to his injury.
