Sky Germany believes it still remains the clear plan of the Wirtz family and the player to first move to Bayern Munich.

Down the line, Wirtz may eventually take the step abroad at some point in the future.

The Bavarian giants are still very optimistic that the transfer will go through as early as this summer.

From Leverkusen’s point of view, the club have still not been informed of Wirtz‘ desire to leave which is contrary to BILD's earlier report.

There are yet to be any negotiations between the two clubs, although Bayern seem prepared to pay a €20–25 million salary over a planned five-year contract.
